Candle Care
Here are a few tips and tricks to help you get the best burn and most enjoyment out of your candle.
Your First Burn
To ensure an even burn, allow the entire surface of wax to melt (2 – 3 hours) the first time you light your new candle. This will assist in preventing tunneling & help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life. Our wicks are designed to curl slightly for a consistent, and long lasting burn.
Trim Wick Before Each Use
Trim wick to 1/4″ before lighting each time. Discard the trimmed piece of wick and always keep the burn pool free of any debris.
Burn Time
Each time you burn your candle, we recommend that you liquify the entire top layer of wax to fully release the candle’s scent and to ensure an even burn.
Do not burn your candle for more than 3 – 4 hours at a time and never leave a candle unattended.
Where to Burn
Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface. Follow the 2-foot rule. Don’t place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or other flammable objects.
When burning multiple candles at once, always place them at least 3 inches apart from each other.
A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight. Always extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Keep Away From Drafts
Keep your candles away from drafts around the home such as ceiling fans, so that the flame is not disturbed. This will help promote a clean even burn.
Safety
A lit candle is an open flame and a potential fire hazard that should be taken seriously and carefully monitored.
